What The Wise Man Told Me...
In 1994 our ship docked at the Turkish port city of Kusadasi ("Koosh-a-dah-sea"), and I took the overland trip to the ancient City of Ephesus.
There, in a cave on a hillside overlooking the ruins of two great civilizations - Greek and Roman - dwelt a learned man who could impart to me the Wisdom of the Ages.
I entered his cave, sat cross-legged opposite the low-burning fire before him, requested knowledge of the wisdom of the ages, and this is what he told me:
"The Ox is Slow. But the Earth is Patient."
